Group 305 is a Killorglin based group that travel to Lourdes every Easter with the Irish Pilgrimage Trust. Thank you to all the children and parents for the fantastic effort that was put into the day. A fantastic amount of €268.60 was raised for Group 305.
Clothing Collection:
We are currently running a Fundraising Clothing Collection. The collection was initially due to finish this week but has been pushed out a week until Tuesday 26th November. We are delighted by the response to the collection again this year. A huge thank you to everyone who has donated to our collection so far. Your help is greatly appreciated. This type of funding is vital for the school as Department Grants themselves are not enough to keep the school going throughout the year. There's still time to donate to the collection if you haven't done so yet - keep the bags coming!!
Time to Read:
The Time to Read programme in 2nd class got underway last week with the launch and first reading session on Wednesday 13th. The children enjoyed their first session and are looking forward to working with their buddies in the weeks and months ahead. Thanks to our Parents Association for their help with the refreshments and for their continued support. Thank you to Anne (Fexco) and Eileen (Business in the Community Ireland) for their assistance in the running of this hugely successful programme. A final thank you to the fantastic volunteers, both from Fexco and within our own school community, who will visit our school for the next 16 weeks to read with the children.
