Football:

Our boys and girls Mini 7s teams took part in the Mid Kerry Mini 7s competition, held last week in Cromane Community Field. We had mixed fortunes both days. The boys were defeated by Cullina and had a win over Curraheen in the group stages and progressed to the Quarter-Final, where we bowed out to a strong Castledrum side. On Thursday, the girls met with strong opposition in our group and were defeated by Castledrum in our opening game. Our 2nd game against Nagle Rice, Milltown was a much tighter affair, but after a great battle, we lost by one point. Despite the poor weather, we enjoyed our days and it was great to be back playing the Mini 7s competition after a 3 year break due to Covid.

Time to Count:

Time to Count will be getting underway in 3rd Class this week. We are delighted that Business in the Community Ireland and Fexco have committed to undertake this programme this year. Instead of our usual reading programme, we have moved over to a maths based programme this year. We are very excited to meet our volunteers and get underway.

Kind regards,

Sinéad Pigott

Principal
